App Rings (App Rings は、アプリの年輪/月輪を刻むダッシュボード。) is a web dashboard for Shopify app developers that turns Shopify Partner API data into revenue analytics. The name means "the growth rings of your app". Available in English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. Operated by MEMENTO, LLC (合同会社MEMENTO), Japan.

## How MRR is calculated
- Built from your subscription history: Each day, App Rings processes your complete event history, including installs, subscriptions, cancellations, and freezes, to calculate daily MRR.
- Annual subscriptions, normalized monthly: Billing intervals come directly from Shopify. Annual subscription prices are divided by 12 to calculate their contribution to MRR.
- Churn starts when cancellation is scheduled: A paid subscription counts as churn on the day cancellation is scheduled, even if access continues until the end of the billing period.
- Only recurring, paid subscriptions count: Trials, frozen stores, one-time charges, and free plans are excluded from MRR.
- Reconciled with real payouts: We have reconciled payout figures from our own Shopify apps against actual bank deposits.
- Clear calculation methods: Each report includes an explanation of how its metrics are calculated.

### What is App Rings?
App Rings is a revenue analytics dashboard for Shopify app developers. It brings MRR, ARR, churn, retention, trials, payouts, customers, and reviews together for all your apps, with daily updates. The name is inspired by tree rings: a visible record of growth over time.

### How is MRR calculated?
MRR is the sum of the monthly value of active paid subscriptions. Annual prices are divided by 12. Trials, frozen stores, one-time charges, and free plans are excluded. A paid subscription counts as churn when cancellation is scheduled. App Rings calculates each day’s MRR from the subscription history up to that date.

### What data does it use?
App Rings uses Shopify Partner API events and transactions to track subscriptions, revenue, and net payouts. Additional sources include GA4 for your App Store listing (via BigQuery export) for traffic and conversions, public Shopify App Store pages for reviews, and your app's own GA4 property for usage and Web Vitals (read on demand, not stored).

### How much does it cost?
App Rings is free when your organization’s 90-day average MRR is below $1,000 and your selected apps have no more than 1,000 current installations. Exceeding the installation limit requires Starter or higher. Paid plans are $15/month for MRR from $1,000 to under $5,000, $39/month from $5,000 to under $15,000, $79/month from $15,000 to under $50,000, and $149/month at $50,000 or more. Your first 14 days are free regardless of MRR, with no credit card required. All plans include unlimited apps. Annual billing gives you 12 months for the price of 10.

### How many apps can I analyze?
There is no app limit. App Rings imports every app in your Partner organization, and you choose which ones to display. Pricing is based on the combined MRR of all your apps.

### Is my data safe?
Partner API tokens are encrypted and stored separately by organization. Imported data is used only to provide the service. It is never sold or used for advertising or AI training. Disconnecting an organization stops access, deletes its token and begins deleting imported data in stages. We retain only legally required records and limited administrative records. Aggregated data provided through MCP/API excludes shop names and domains. Information you type or attach in AI chat is sent to your chosen AI provider. See the Privacy Policy for details.

### Which languages are available?
The website, dashboard, company page, legal documents and onboarding emails are available in Japanese, English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese.

### Will email automation and affiliate tools be included?
Both are planned as paid features and are not available yet. Email automation will support messages after installation and uninstallation. Affiliate tools will track referrals and calculate commissions; payments will be sent separately through PayPal. Pricing, email sending limits, and availability are still to be announced.

### Can my team use it?
Yes. Organization owners can invite team members. Everyone signs in with Google or GitHub and works from the same data.
